COWBOY CHRISTMAS
'Twas the night before Christmas
When down at the barn
Not a horse was stirring Here
on this farm
When up on the tin Where the
rain drips through
Came the awfulest noise Like
a clatter of shoes
Seven long eared mules Pulling
a wagon
I swallowed my snuff To see
the barn saggin'
"Howdy and Merry Christmas"
With a big toothless grin
I could see his tobacco Run
down his chin
He tossed down a towsack Packed
plum full
I just stood there Starrin'
at those mules
He tipped his hat And cracked
his whip
Those mules started flying
Just as he spit
Watching in awe My eyes shed
a tear
There was no doubt Cowboy
Claus landed here
Tony Blisard
Well I just could not resist
the poem. What a mind picture.
And just so ya'll know I always
knew Santa was from the south
maybe even Texas.
